a long journey named Love in Guangzhou
On Feb 15, 2025, I met Miss Wu for the first time in Guangzhou.
She was introduced to me by a familiar person from my hometown.
The following was what I remembered:
1st Dating
Date: 2025-02-16 Sunday
My first impression of Miss Wu was that she was a tall, slim girl.
After talking with her, I learned that she liked spicy food.
She can eat durian (榴莲) and snail rice noodles (螺蛳粉), which are things I can’t accept. I can’t stand the smell.
She also likes to eat vegetables.
She lived at No.31 Anti-British Avenue, Sanyuanli Village, Sanyuanli Street, Baiyun District. (Note: In the ruins on Feb 22, 2026)

She graduated in Wuhan in 2015, when I was still in university. Then she came to Guangzhou alone to look for a job in 2016.
We watched a movie called “Ne Zha 2” after lunch.
She was considerate and thoughtful. She bought two cups of tea from CHAGEE Bawang Chaji (霸王茶姬).
I truly appreciated everything she did. All of it.
Watch a movie
With the movie “Ne Zha 2” starting at 2:00 p.m. approaching, we went to watch the movie.

As a nurse, her work and rest hours are not fixed.
Day shift: 7:45–12:00, 14:30–17:30

She is skilled at playing the guitar and Guzheng. And she likes to listen to music and read books on the WeChat Reading app.
While reading, she takes many notes. She is excellent, in my opinion.
Second Dating
Date: 2025-02-22 Saturday
After climbing Baiyun Mountain alone, I went to have dinner with Miss Wu.

The meal was delicious.
She was considerate and helped me prepare the pre-meal sauces.
After the meal, she gave me cool mint-flavored candy.
We went shopping and Miss Wu bought some cute decorations at the Green Party.
After shopping, it started raining. Luckily, I had brought an umbrella.
We walked home together in the rain. Actually, I only walked her to the village entrance.
What a pity that I didn’t walk you home. I was so stupid.
New Date in 2026

First, I met with Miss Wu after she got off work at 5:30 p.m.
Then we had dinner together somewhere.
After finishing a meal, go to a cinema to watch a movie at 6:40 p.m.
In fact, we went to see a movie first, not to have dinner first. Miss Wu delayed leaving get off work at the hospital.
However, this is an opportunity for me to buy a bouquet of flowers.
Seeking & Buying a bouquet of flowers
After leaving the MTR station Ziyuangang (梓元岗), I walked all around the hospital, but I couldn’t buy a bouquet of flowers.
I searched on the Taobao Flash Sale (淘宝闪购) app, but it took too long to order a bouquet of flowers online and have them delivered.
So I decided to go to visit a Fresh Flowers Store in person to buy a bouquet of flowers and pick them up.
The florist showed me all the flowers they had on hand so I could choose, or I could show her pictures of the flowers I preferred. I chose a bouquet of flowers that I liked.
She then spent some time arranging a bouquet of flowers I had picked. The price of the flower was lucky, meaning good fortune (¥88).

A little incident occurred when I was looking for a flower shop to buy a bouquet of flowers, I met a friendly security guard who encouraged and wished me success.

Watch a movie
With the movie “星河入梦” starting at 6:40 p.m. fast approaching, we went to watch the movie first.

After ending, I wanted to ask you what you thought of the movie, but I forgot.

After the movie, we went to have dinner. I was really sorry that Miss Wu had dinner so late.

The meal was delicious.
Buy lottery tickets
We each bought a lottery ticket hoping for good luck in the new year. We were both lucky enough. Miss Wu won ¥40, and I won ¥30.
Returning
I seem quiet, and in fact I’m not very talkative. I went home after a short walk.
